Production log 4

What Have You Contributed This Week?

This week was a long and tiring week for the group, during Monday we went and filmed the Southend scenes which when looking back over them have found that they will need to be re-shot. Throughout the rest of this week though we did edit as much as possible and really tried to capture the style that we originally wanted to create. We feel that we are really working well together, and all have a really good idea of the direction the music video is heading in.

How does this fit in with the production schedule/ job roles/ overall ideas of the project?

I think that in terms of our production schedule we are behind, but i dont think that worries any of our group as we really wanted to spend our time this week and get a really strong basis for the style that our music video was going to look like. Now that we have done that we can really move forward stronger and edit the video quicker because we all have the same image in our minds.

Were There Any Problems?

We did have one major problem which was our casting, one of our actress' was unable to film anything for various reasons, and we made the group decision to move on away from her and explore some other options.

How Did You Overcome Them?

We managed to quickly overcome this major problem by asking another person who we knew had perhaps more experience in dealing with cameras and had actually done media before. She was able to help us and take on the role, and as a group we feel we made the right decision.

What Are Your Plans For The Following Week?

The aims for the following week is to get a fully complete rough draft edit done. Upon looking at all the footage first we already realise where we need to re-shoot to improve the quality of the music video. We also feel like we can really move forward faster with our editing as we all have the same idea of how we want the finished product to look like.
