What have you contributed this week?

This week, as a group we collectively put together our ideas, for what the key events would happen in the music video and how everything was going to look. After completing this, we made a start on the shooting script and have reached 50 shots so far. We further delegated some of the paperwork that has to be filled out before we start filming, which is due for completion by next Friday. As an individual my main focus this week was to contribute to the shooting script, but have the main say as we were doing my idea and i have to best knowledge of the overall idea/look.

How does this fit in with the production schedule/ job roles/ overall ideas of the project?

In terms of the production schedule we are on time, with completing all the paperwork in time for Friday's deadline. As a group we understand that work will need to be done outside of the classroom, but that's not an issue for any of us, so the work will be on time. As a job role i'm taking the lead, by being the director, the group came to this decision as we are choosing my idea and it made sense because i have the most knowledge on how i want this video to look like. I feel that everyone has a clear understanding of how the music video will look like, which of course in imperative to have, this week was really about concreting the idea and making it clear. This makes the following week much easier as we can get everything done and everyone understands what is required of them to create this idea.

Were there any problems?

Not particularly, everyone has been set work to complete, and we all understand the deadlines that have been set. Everyone is working extremely hard and contributing to every decision, which makes everything really easy and interesting. 

What are your plans for the following week?

The plan for the following week is to just get all the paperwork done by Friday. In class we will mainly be working on the shooting script as we all have some really good ideas on what different shots to do. Ideally we would like the script to be done by Wednesday so that Franki can complete his paperwork, we also have days set to go and do location reccies and risk assessments. Everyone knows what they are doing, so we have a very well structured week and get everything done by fridays lesson. So we can spend the lesson polishing anything that is not up to our high standards.
